Q & A

Why did you choose this charity to support? Grayton’s Guardians is a charity that helps support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Two very close friends of mine that I’ve known since college have a son Grayton that suffers from this disorder. I have shared so many incredible times with them throughout the years at FSU games, music festivals and weekends at the beach. If I can do anything to repay them for all the amazing times they have given me I have to do it for their family, even if that means being in front of a crowd wearing adult clothes, which is my biggest fear.

What is the main character trait you look for in a potential date? Sense of humor and patience. I know that’s two things, but definitely requirements for dealing with me.

What is the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?  Going to Walmart in Crawfordville on Christmas Day for batteries … never again!

What is the most played song on your iPod? I’m a huge Podcast nerd. “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me!,” “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know” and “Freakonomics.”

If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what would it be and why? This age, but with 19-year-old Alex’s hair. It was glorious!

What would you prefer to do for a living if money was not a factor? Farmer, only because I like wearing overalls.

If you could travel back in time and meet yourself as a 10-year-old kid, what advice would you give yourself? Keep doing what you’re doing because adult Alex has all the toys you’ve been wanting.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why? I’m confused. Like the living dead? Because then it’s definitely Zombie Elvis.

What do you consider your BEST attribute? Herding cats. It’s pretty much what you do in the hospitality world.

What is your most distinctive characteristic? Well I have a tattoo, it covers 80% of my body but it’s technically one tattoo.

What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend? My weekends are Mondays and Tuesdays, so my favorite thing to do is go on adventures with my dog to new places and they are usually quiet, which is killer.

What do you believe your greatest accomplishment in life is? Learning to use spell check and Google for these questions.

What is at the very top of your bucket list? Get a bigger bucket.

Do you have any hidden talents? If so, what? What you see is what you get with me.

Are you a morning person or night owl? I have recently become a morning person and I love it.

What’s your lucky charm? I have WWBJD tattoo on my foot, it stands for What Would Big J Do. He was a dear friend that passed away, and I have that scripted on my foot to ask myself how would he handle life situations when they arise. He is the best inner monologue a guy could have.

What’s your dream car? I’m driving it now — My old jeep with no back seat. Basically it’s the dog’s car and he lets me drive him around in it.

What was your screen name in middle school? Ummm we didn’t have screens when I was in middle school.

Are you one to kiss on the first date? Yes, but never tell.

What’s your favorite piece of exercise equipment? Sneakers and I wear them until they are falling apart; I have such a hard time letting them go.

What is your favorite Netflix binge series? “Bill Nye Saves the World”

What’s your bad habit? What’s your good habit? Mumbling – listening.

Facebook, Twitter or Instagram? Myspace.

What’s your favorite magazine? Outside Magazine.

What was your worst fashion disaster? Soooo many.
