World Athletics Cross Country Championships
For the first time in over 30 years, the World Athletics Cross Country Championships return to the United States with Tallahassee as the chosen site. This prestigious competition will be held at Apalachee Regional Park and will showcase the best of the best cross-country athletes from across the world competing in multiple events, including men’s and women’s 6k races, 8k races, 10k races, and relays. Immediately following the medal ceremony at 1 p.m., the public is invited to lace up their running shoes for one of four fun runs on the same course as the champions.

The Dinner Detective True Crime Mystery Dinner

Murder on the Orient ExpressPresented by Emerald Coast Theatre Company

In the winter of 1934, an avalanche stops the Orient Express dead in its tracks, leaving one murder and a train full of suspects. Trapped in the snow with a killer still on board, the world’s most famous detective, Hercule Poirot, must crack the case before the train reaches its final destination.

Capital City Senior Games Torch Run & Fun Walk

Tallahassee seniors will have their moment in the sports spotlight as the 2026 Capital City Senior Games kicks off with its Torch Run & Fun Walk. A series of participating athletes will carry the torch to its destination at Cascades Park, followed by opening remarks and a one-mile fun walk around the park. Athletic events will run through March 18. Anyone over the age of 50 is invited to compete.
