If you and your crew have a competitive streak, chances are you’ve tackled questions as a team at your favorite bar or restaurant. If you haven’t yet, trivia nights are the perfect way to bring a brainy group together for the pursuit of glory—and prizes. Trivia nights come in a wide variety of formats and difficulties, and Tallahassee has a plethora of options. All of these games are free to play. Get there early to claim your table!

Tuesday

Trivia at Bird’s Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack is among the most difficult and spirited games in town. Host Tom Richmond provides fascinating question categories (and puzzles!) at 7 p.m. The top three teams receive rewards at the bar, but fourth place gets the power to choose the category for next week’s final crossword puzzle.

You can also check out Madison Social at 7 p.m. for media-themed trivia (be sure to register your team at 6:30), or another local favorite at 8 p.m.: Professor Jim’s trivia at 4th Quarter Bar & Grille.

Wednesday

Tallahassee’s local breweries steal the spotlight on Wednesday nights. Trivia takes over the Oyster City Brewing Company beer garden on Gaines Street at 7 p.m., with a live DJ to fill the time between questions with tunes.

Proof Brewing Company, led by DJ Nate Bragg, challenges contenders at 7 p.m. to multiple themed rounds, and winners are handed prizes on the spot.

Trivia at Ology Midtown begins at 7:30 p.m. with a round of bingo, followed by general knowledge trivia. All ages are welcome to play, but only players over 21 can collect prizes.

Thursday

Amicus Brewing Ventures boasts one of the largest trivia turnouts in town, but the outdoor space, drink delivery system, and food truck presence make for a relaxing atmosphere. Their diverse, wager-based trivia runs from 7 to 9 p.m.

If you’re on the north side of town, try Ology Northside’s trivia, also at 7 p.m. (like the game at Midtown, only those over 21 can collect prizes).

At 7:30 p.m., The Trivia Lab at Smitty’s Taphouse & Grill, a family-friendly option with cleverly themed rounds, is in session.
