I am a Tallahassee native and joined Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic in 2017. I truly enjoy making people look and feel beautiful. I specialize in dermaplaning, facials, chemical peels, HydraFacial MD®, skincare products and Endermologie.

Who or what influenced you to become a skincare professional?

I have struggled with acne since my teens, so that helped influence me to get into the skin-care industry — to not only help me reach my skin-care goals but also help others as well.

Is there a favorite treatment you perform? What are the benefits?

My favorite treatment is dermaplaning. I love this treatment because of the instant benefits it offers. Dermaplaning is an exfoliating treatment performed with a surgical scalpel that removes the outermost layers of dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz). This treatment will soften fine lines and wrinkles, brighten skin, allow products to penetrate deeper and your makeup to go on smoother. This is a perfect addition to our SkinCeuticals MicroPeel and HydraFacial MD®.

Do you have a favorite SkinCeuticals product?

Metacell Renewal B3 hands down. This is my go-to moisturizer because it is lightweight but also an anti-aging treatment. It promotes skin renewal by increasing cellular turnover, strengthens the skin’s moisture barrier, reduces the appearance of discoloration and blotchiness and helps improve the appearance of skin’s firmness.

I was born and raised in the Midwest and became a transplant to Tallahassee a few years ago. One thing is for certain — I don’t miss the northern winters. I am a master licensed aesthetician, with Tallahassee Plastic Surgery and Physician’s Skin Care Clinic with 41 years of experience in the skincare, cosmetic and beauty industry. In addition, I am a licensed cosmetologist, board-certified laser professional and cosmetic tattoo artist in Florida, Illinois and Iowa. My focus is advanced aesthetics, including collagen-induction therapy, chemical peels, lasers and paramedical cosmetic procedures, such as wrinkle reduction and scar relaxation.

Who or what influenced you to become a skincare professional?

The single most important person who influenced me to become a skincare and beauty expert was my mother. I fondly remember my mother’s passion for all things beauty. She would order the latest and greatest makeup, skin-care products and beauty gadgets of which I became the recipient and student of at an early age. My mother was my very first client, my biggest fan and greatest supporter. I continue to share her passion and love of the beauty industry with my patients.

Is there a favorite treatment you perform? What are the benefits?

The hottest trend right now — and one of my favorites — is Collagen Induction Therapy. The procedure improves acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, texture, and it helps reduce pore size. Even stretch marks can be treated for the right candidate. My greatest accomplishment in performing this treatment is to see my patients’ satisfaction and increased confidence.

Do you have a favorite SkinCeuticals product?

I have many favorite SkinCeuticals products I use on myself and with patients in my treatment room. One that comes to mind is Glycol 10 Renew Overnight. This is an overnight skin-refining treatment that gently exfoliates to promote skin clarity and brightness. I use this product every other night alternating with SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0.
