Elizabeth Miller, APRN-C, sees patients full-time at the Tallahassee location. She earned her Master of Science in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Florida State University, with a clinical background spanning hospital care, women’s health, and nursing education. Miller is a board-certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner who works closely with each patient to build an individualized treatment plan, while also educating them about their specific skin condition. Her practice includes both medical dermatology and cosmetic services such as laser skin resurfacing, laser hair removal, and injectables.
Kaisa van der Kooi, MD, FAAD, FASDP, a triple board-certified dermatologist, Mohs surgeon, and dermatopathologist, also sees patients at the Tallahassee office primarily for Mohs surgery. Dr. van der Kooi earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Detroit Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by fellowships in Mohs micrographic surgery at Florida State College of Medicine and in dermatopathology at the University of South Florida. As a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, she specializes in precise, tissue-sparing removal of skin cancer and is dedicated to educating the community on the importance of regular skin cancer screenings.
Rounding out the team is aesthetician Julie Mahieu, an honors graduate recognized as Most Outstanding Student in Esthetics at her alma mater. With more than 15 years of experience, including owning her own salon and day spa, Mahieu brings advanced treatment skills and personalized skincare planning to every client relationship.
