Dr. Alvarez was born and raised in Miami, Florida where he completed his undergraduate studies from Florida International University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine-Midwestern University in 2020. Following graduation, he completed a three-year podiatric surgery residency with a focus in rearfoot and ankle reconstruction. His surgical interests include sports medicine, foot and ankle deformity correction, diabetic limb salvage, and lower extremity trauma. Dr. Alvarez is passionate about serving patients in his home state of Florida. He performs surgeries at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, HCA Florida Capital Hospital, and Red Hills Surgical Center.
