Gadsden Arts Offers Day-Long Art Trip to Jacksonville

Immerse in a day of artistic discovery

Join Gadsden Arts on August 9 to discover great historical and contemporary art in Jacksonville, Florida—a relaxing and fascinating way to beat the summer heat!

We will meet in Market Square in Tallahassee and board a luxury coach to Jacksonville. There, the day will begin with a tour at the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, featuring Fabric of a Nation: American Quilt Stories from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Solo time to see other exhibitions and the gardens at the Cummer will be included.

We will then enjoy a relaxing lunch at Iguana Park in Jacksonville’s Riverside District. In the afternoon, we will experience a contemporary multimedia exhibition, Starship Abundance, at the Museum of Contemporary Art, by New York-based artist Emil Alzamora.

Please note: This trip departs from and returns to Market Square in Tallahassee. In addition to a group of fun-loving art explorers, it includes transportation, lunch, travel refreshments and admission to all venues.

Gadsden Arts Center & Museum is 25 minutes from Tallahassee in historic Quincy, Florida. Visitor hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free for members and children 17 and under, $5 for non-member adults and $3 for students.
