From the nomination: “Cydeon is an intelligent, beautiful, career-minded woman. She is a serious 'catch' for any single man.”
Cydeon’s charity of choice is Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend. Big Brothers Big Sisters targets children living in single parent homes, growing up in poverty and coping with parental incarceration. Big Brothers Big Sisters pairs a child with a role model to nurture a one-to-one relationship built on trust and friendship that can blossom into a future of unlimited potential. A study done on this program found that after 18 months of spending time with their “Bigs,” the Little Brothers and Little Sisters, compared to those children not in the program, were 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs, 27% less likely to begin using alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class and 33% less likely to hit someone.
