How adopted: Answered a posting on Petfinder from a rescue in Wakulla County

Unusual characteristics/special talents: “Approximately three years ago, Georgia sustained a spinal cord injury, which left her a paraplegic. She has her Walkin’ Wheels (dog wheelchair), stroller, and harnesses for walking. Georgia’s special characteristic is her incredible spirit. She connects with everyone she meets. She earned AKC certificates for Canine Good Citizen, Basic Manners, Manners & More, Beginner Novice and Rally Novice.”

Why Tally Top Pet? “My unbelievable Georgia has been through five surgeries: Cranial cruciate ligaments on each leg, spinal disc surgery, and most recently hip subluxation surgery on each hip. She’s been through over 100 physical therapy sessions that include underwater treadmill and laser therapy. Through all of this, her spirit remains unwavering. Her attitude is always upbeat, and she loves everyone. She sets a great example of spirit, perseverance, and unconditional love.”

Our observation: A calm, loving personality and a moving bond with her owner.
