Tallahassee’s Own Golf Scribe Launches Book about the Virtues of Golf

Hearth & Soul hosts event on Saturday

“19th Hole” Book Launch
Saturday, June 13, 2 p.m.
Hearth & Soul at 1410 Market St.

A Chamber professional by day, ‘golf scribe’ by night — Jay Revell compiles his many theories on the game in an entertaining, inspiring and humorous gift book.

A “19th Hole” kickoff event for the launch of The Nine Virtues of Golf: Essays, Musings and Other Contemplation of the Game takes place on Saturday, June 13 at 2 p.m. at Hearth & Soul.

“Every time I read Jay’s words I immediately want to go out and play golf. What higher endorsement could there be for a golf writer?”
— Tony Dear, author of  The Story of Golf in Fifty Holes.

Jay’s working theories on the virtues of golf come from a lifetime of playing the sport he unabashedly loves. When he is not serving as vice president for advocacy and policy for the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, he is a common fixture on the greens around town and throughout the South.

This Tallahassee local can now add “published author’ to his list of accolades and accomplishments on his popular blog, where his frequent postings explore the depths of what it means to play golf.
