Rowland Publishing Presents Check to Kidz1stFund

Kidz1stFund, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and funds to find a cure for Fanconi Anemia, was given a $3,500 donation from Rowland Publishing as part of the 2014 Tallahassee Top Salon event. The area's best salons were pitted against one another in friendly competition to determine who could execute the most dramatic makeover within a 24-hour period at the event, held Saturday, Feb. 22. The charity was chosen by winning salon, Ardan's, who took home top honors for the second consecutive year. On hand to receive the donation was Kidz1st Chairwoman Candi Fisher, who co-founded the nonprofit along with her husband, FSU Football Head Coach Jimbo Fisher. Top Salon Presenting Sponsor Dr. Russell B. Rainey was also on hand for the check presentation, as was Tallahassee Magazine Editor Rosanne Dunkelberger.
