Description:

Welcome to the Tallahassee Museum – Where North Florida’s history, nature, and wildlife intersect. From amazing native animals and rare historic buildings to beautiful natural scenery to exciting public programs, special events, and educational programs, there’s something here for everyone.

Set amidst 52 acres of breathtaking Florida flora and fauna, the Tallahassee Museum has served as an iconic Florida landmark for more than 50 years. Ranked as one of the state’s top museums, the Tallahassee Museum encourages guests to discover and learn about north Florida’s natural environment, rich history, and diverse communities.

The Museum’s living exhibits of native Florida wildlife, nature trails, and native gardens are renowned by visitors of all ages. The Museum is home to fourteen historic buildings, and ongoing living history programs that immerse visitors in 19th century experiences and allow them to discover the history and lifestyles of southern communities.

The internationally acclaimed exhibit, Jim Gary’s Twentieth Century Dinosaurs, also calls the Museum home. These vividly colored dinosaurs sculpted from recycled car parts evoke thoughts about art, science and sustainability.

Tallahassee Tree to Tree Adventures, the Museum’s zip line and adventure course, encourages visitors to explore the majesty of nature from high in the trees.

Daily programs, annual events, free parking, a museum store, and the Trail Break Café make the Museum a favored destination for more than 100,000 annual visitors. The Tallahassee Museum is a not-for-profit organization, funded by private donations, grants, sponsorships, membership, and fundraisers.

Tree to Tree Adventures

Zip through tree-tops, soar over cypress swamps, and conquer aerial games and obstacles on the Tallahassee Tree to Tree Adventures courses at the Tallahassee Museum. Beautifully integrated within the Museum’s 52 acres of native plants and wildlife, Tallahassee Tree to Tree Adventures transports adventurers through swamps, forests, wildlife habitats, and more! You’ll see nature from a bird’s eye view while gliding at heights of up to fifty feet from the ground! Who knows, you may even meet a dinosaur or two! Over 30 obstacles will have you swinging from ropes, crossing log bridges, and surfing through the sky.

Tallahassee Tree to Tree Adventures offers 3 different courses to choose from: TREEmendous Adventure, Canopy Crossing, and Soaring Cypress (our biggest, fastest, most amazing course!). All courses are based on height eligibility rather than age, and can be completed without any previous experience.

So grab a harness, clip your carabineers, and discover Tallahassee on a whole new level- you’re in for the zip adventure of a lifetime!
