Heart Ball Coming to the Centre of Tallahassee

The American Heart Association in Tallahassee is proud to announce that Dr. Akash Ghai and Chucha Barber are co-chairs of the 2017 Leon County Heart Ball. Dr. Ghai currently practices at Southern Medical Group, P.A., and holds privileges at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. Chucha Barber is the president of Chucha Barber Productions.

The 2017 Heart Ball will be held on Friday, March 3, at the Centre of Tallahassee and will begin at 6 p.m. The special honoree for the evening will be Ron Sachs, and the event will include a silent live auction and a fine Italian dinner with wines served from Urban Market. Entertainment will be a musical tribute to Frank Sinatra and will feature the incredible Las Vegas talent Monty Aidem, with musical backup by Gary Farr and his All-Star Band.

The American Heart Association’s mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke, and for more than 25 years, the annual Leon County Heart Ball has promoted the AHA’s mission on a local level. This year’s ball will generate funds to support heart disease education and awareness in the Leon County and Big Bend area. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the Heart Ball will support research at FSU’s College of Medicine. Over the years, more than $8 million dollars of AHA grants have been awarded to FSU.

The American Heart Association is proud to have Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare and Southern Medical Group as major sponsors this year, along with media sponsors iHeart Radio, Tallahassee Magazine, the Tallahassee Democrat and WCTV.
