Theatre Tallahassee presents I Hate Hamlet, the story of Andrew Rally, a successful actor in New York with a landmark opportunity: the chance to play Hamlet in Central Park. But Rally has no desire to play Hamlet, and life is complicated. For one thing, a séance summons the ghost of John Barrymore (the play is set in John Barrymore’s former NYC apartment, naturally) dressed in Shakespearean garb. When a Hollywood friend offers Rally a spot in a new pilot, he is forced to choose between Shakespeare, whom his girlfriend loves, or television, where he is loved by millions.
