2014 Cards for a Cure Charity Event

Cards for a Cure

September 29, 2014

Things were “in the pink” at the ninth annual Cards for a Cure fundraiser, held Sept. 27 at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum. Throughout its history, the evening of dining, dancing, auctions and “funny money” gambling has raised more than $500,000 for the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Foundation to help provide mammograms, treatment and transportation to breast cancer patients who otherwise couldn’t afford the services. Attorney and community leader Glenda Thornton was the night’s honoree, who shared the story of her cancer journey, giving a shout out to her parents, aunt and uncle, who had traveled from Mobile, Alabama to join her.
