Tallahassee Ballet 2019-2020 season is here! The Tallahassee Ballet is pleased to bring you its marquee performances for the 2019-2020 performance season! The Tallahassee Ballet is a regional, nonprofit dance company featuring a diverse repertoire of classical and contemporary ballet performed by both professional and emerging professional dancers. The Tallahassee Ballet promotes appreciation of the dance arts through annual productions, education, and community outreach. Sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture.

An Evening of Music and Dance

This intimate performance, accompanied by chamber music and held at Opperman Music Hall at Florida State University, offers a perfect evening for music and dance lovers alike. This unique production has combined the talents of FSU’s College of Music and The Tallahassee Ballet for more than 25 years.

The Nutcracker

Treat yourself to one of the holiday season’s most treasured performances, The Tallahassee Ballet’s The Nutcracker at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. Share the excitement and magic with your family and friends while trees grow larger than life right before your very eyes and snowflakes delicately fall on dancers twirling and leaping across the stage. This production features live orchestra, original costumes, and special guest artists.

An Invitation to the Party

An Invitation to the Party is based on Donna Walker-Kuhne’s book “Invitation to the Party – Building Bridges to the Arts, Culture and Community.” This Tallahassee Ballet 2019-2020 season performance crushes stereotypical images of ballet by building bridges between diverse audiences through the works of nationally renowned African-American choreographers Christopher Huggins and Millicent Johnnie. Live music features Leon Anderson, Tallahassee Symphony Jazz and the Bethel AME Baptist Choir.
