Why did you choose this charity to support? The center serves as a shelter for the men and women in our community who have found themselves in a situation where they can’t afford a house or afford a meal. I’m eager to give back to an organization that benefits our beautiful city and each valued community member – no one should go hungry in Tallahassee.

What is the main character trait you look for in a potential date? A trifecta trait? Driven, educated & family oriented.

What is the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done? Packed up my life on a dream and moved to Tallahassee to be the Executive Chef for our Governor and First Lady Rick & Ann Scott.

What is the most played song on your iPod? G Eazy – I mean it

If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what would it be and why? 30. It’s a distinguished age where people take you seriously but you can still be young at heart.

What would you prefer to do for a living if money was not a factor? Run a fish taco stand in Hawaii.

If you could travel back in time and meet yourself as a 10-year-old kid, what advice would you give yourself? Spend more time with Grandpa (“Dede”) and Grandma (“Nene”).

What is your most distinctive characteristic? My smile.

What is your motto? “Keep it Simple, Fresh & Elegant”

What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend? #CTB: Church, Tan Brunch.

What do you believe your greatest accomplishment in life is? Making my family proud.

What is at the very top of your bucket list? Travel across Europe and eat a lot of food. I guess I’ve done the latter but I’d like to do it conjunction with the former.

Do you have any hidden talents? If so, what? I can bake some mean pastries.

Are you a morning person or night owl? Night owl.

What’s your lucky charm? My Grandfather’s rosary beads.

What’s your dream car? Fully loaded White Range Rover with a panoramic roof.

What was your screen name in middle school? I don’t remember but I’m sure it was mature and very professional.

Are you one to kiss on the first date? Every time. 

What’s your favorite piece of exercise equipment? Pull up bar.

What is your favorite Netflix binge series? I would say Video Game High School but since this is a public bachelor interview, I’ll go with House of Cards.

What’s your bad habit? What’s your good habit? Unfortunately, as a chef, I can never commit to an exact arrival time. I may or may not be late in picking you up for a date. Good  Can’t date a smoker. And maybe if you’re a food-hater.

Facebook, Twitter or Instagram? Facebook…but looking for a girl who can help me figure out Instagram.

What’s your favorite splurge/indulgence? Chocolate Lava Cake. I change my menu from time to time, but that is one that will likely never leave.

What’s your favorite Pandora channel? James Taylor

What was your worst fashion disaster? Every day in Middle School. It was hard parting with those ever-so-popular jean shorts.

Which celebrity do you most resemble? Andy Pettitte. But I just got the “Green Ranger” recently…

At which sport do you most excel? Raquetball. Willing to suggest cooking competitions as a recognized sport.

What is your most treasured possession? My cookbook signed by Chef Art Smith, The Governor & First Lady, and all the employees involved in its creation.

What quality do you most admire in people? A kind heart.

If a dance were named after me, it would be called … The Minas Macarena. All the kids would be doing it.

Name a world leader that you would like to have dinner with. President Obama. I think I could whip up a garden-fresh dinner that even the Mrs. would approve of.

The Paleo Diet is so overrated.
